NEXT WEEK

Who: Pathfinders and their families

This is considered a family type camp where Pathfinders are under the care and supervision of their families, or a responsible adult.

When: Friday 18th August to Sunday 20th August 2017

Brief Itinerary:

Friday: Arrive Jindabyne

Saturday: Worship Time, Snow Shoe Adventure

Sunday: Ski Thredbo and then depart

Where: Adventist Alpine Village (AAV), Jindabyne

Choice are:

1. Chalet accommodation : share up to 8, with 4 in each room, single bathroom, kitchenette.

2. Bunk room accommodation : share 8, most with a divider that passes through the middle, 2 ensuite bathrooms.

Accommodation will be allocated on a 1st in basis.

Please note that although we strive to give families as much privacy as possible, this is shared accommodation. Please review the floorplans prior to making your decision.

Meals : Are catered for by (AAV) and served in the main dining room. Inclusions are:

- Saturday breakfast / packed lunch / evening dinner

- Sunday breakfast / packed lunch

Central Area with fireplace available to us in the same building as the bunkrooms.

Exclusions: National Park entry fees , Ski Clothing hire, Helmet hire, Travel expenses to Jindabyne and Snow Fields, donation for Saturday night visitor.

1. Friday evening meal $14 per person

Map and Compass Day SUNDAY 18th June

Wahroonga Club will not being attending in an official capacity due to the number of other events already on our calendar. However, you are welcome to register individually and join another group. It is a lot of fun and teaches you a lot about orienteering and map skills. If you are interested please follow the link through to the Conference registration form.

REGISTRATION CLOSES JUNE 12 , Cost $10 pp.

This is a CONFERENCE run event being held in a new location on the southern side of our conference. They are using the NW corner of the Royal National Park around the Temptation Creek basin.

The Map & Compass day is a great opportunity for you to learn or continue to develop bushwalking and navigation skills in preparation for this year’s Expedition. The assemble area is at the back of the parking area for the Greys Point Oval. This is a public area so it is a matter of finding a spot and then assembling behind the toilet. The conference will have a known person around to help.
