Hello everyone,

As you all know we have the Drug Free Walk on Saturday afternoon 9th September.

Following the Drug Free Walk the Master Guides are planning a pizza and mini golf night for everyone (parents can come too although most of the fun is reserved for Pathfinders!).

If attending the Minigolf evening, you will need to bring a spare bag (day pack or similar) with you to the drug free walk and in that bag you will need to have the following:

  1. Shoes - Recommend sneakers, runners

  2. Change of clothes - Wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in and warm

  3. Suggest a jumper/hoodie and a rainproof jacket

  4. Water bottle

  5. Snack bars or similar (for a quick energy burst)

  6. $30 is your contribution towards food / drinks / icecream / minigolf

  7. Most importantly a positive attitude and be ready to have some fun!

A large bus is reserved to transport you from Wahroonga to the ‘Drug Free Walk’ and return to Minigolf Thornleigh. Depending on numbers attending, some private vehicles may also be required. When you are on the Drug Free walk, your spare bag with change of clothes etc will be safely stored in the bus. After the Walk you will be able to change clothes in the bus. The bus will then return to Minigolf Thornleigh: http://www.thornleighgolfcentre.com.au/mini-golf/. Dinner of Pizza/drinks/icecream will be provided. Following dinner everyone will be invited to commence their Minigolf games in teams of 4 or 5. The venue has advised: 40 minutes per 18 holes; there are 2 x 18 hole courses; everyone can commence playing at the same time by starting play on the first 5 holes of each course; depending on time/ enthusiasm/weather on the night 36 holes may be played. Times depend on the Walk schedule. Plan/aim: dinner ~6/6:30; commence minigolf before 7pm; conclude the evening between 8:45pm to 9:15pm (latest). Parents to please arrange to collect their children from Minigolf Thornleigh.

Please advise any special requests asap.

Main contact for the social program will be Amelia Martin and Graeme Martin, email: cars@greatstays.com.au
