WAHROONGA PATHFINDERS 2017
Dear Pathfinder Parents and Families,
The year has started off with a bang with lots of fabulous events: Water Ski Day, Registration with 1st Hall Meeting, Family Camp and our second Hall Meeting with a beautiful induction ceremony for all our new Pathfinders.
We can almost take a breath and thought it timely for some information about how things run, some guidance with where to find information and other handy information.
Registration - If not done yet, MUST be done ASAP, most are done, thankyou

2. HALL DINNERS
It is compulsory for all Pathfinders and regular staff to contribute via the food kitty on registration. It works out at $5 per meal for a freshly prepared vegetarian main meal and dessert.
Nonregular adults including staff who stay for dinner (and you are very welcome), are also asked to contribute by placing $5 in the "Hungry Chef" on the night. To pay a once only fee online you can register yourself with the club and just select "Food Kitty" $40 and nominate yourself as staff from the "Class You would like to Join" option.
3. WEBSITE
We have a brand new web site with heaps of information www.wahroongapathfinders.org.au. The first page has our most recent emails (great when you can't find the last email!) and our calendar so you can easily check the time and place for all events throughout the year. The whole site is full of great information such as where to sew badges on Dress Uniforms - a lot of us check that out the night before ANZAC Day!
4. FACE BOOK
We have a "Closed Group" which means you can share photos etc with other Pathfinder Parents and older Pathfinders too. You do NOT have to be friends on face book with the other members to participate and the information is kept within the Group and NOT shared more publicly. It's a lovely informal and convenient way to keep in touch. Sometimes parents share photos of events, suggest a "training hike" etc. If you noted your facebook sign on on the Registration Form, you have been sent an invitation to join, simply accept it - if not, just follow the link and ask to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/137469349648344/
5. SHARING THE FUN
The club is 100% run by volunteers and we ask ALL families to help out. It may be as small as helping to prepare dinner at a Hall Meeting. If every family did one thing each term, we would have all the dinners covered and all help we need at various events sorted AND, ADDED bonus, no more emails begging for help. So please, many people said "I need to check my Diary" in order to assist with dinner, have a look at your diary and put your name down.

If helping at a dinner doesn't suit, please get in touch with your child's Class Leader and see how you can assist.

7. UNIFORMS .. A note from Nerolie King
For those of you who would like to purchase the Pathfinder dress uniform, you can do so through the Adventist Book Centre at 4 Cambridge St, Epping.
Ph: 8876 5200
If you know the size you would like to order, then it may be possible for Epping to transfer the items to the Wahroonga Book Centre (inside the SAN) for easier pick up.
The items needed are outlined under the uniform tab on our website: www.wahroongapathfinders.org
For those of you who have a dress uniform are NOT attending the Anzac Day March, please let us know if you are willing to lend your uniform to someone that needs one.
Unfortunately at the moment there are not many second hand dress uniforms in the Club - most of them are bigger sizes from older children who have finished Pathfinders. If anyone has a uniform they would like to donate to the 2nd hand box please contact Nerolie.
We are waiting on an order for the Wahroonga badges and will let you know when they have arrived.
